A Lofty Triplefin, Enneanectas altivelis, photographed at night at the divesite known as Turtle Rocks in the waters near Bimini in the Bahamas. This tiny critter is less than an inch in length. It and other Triplefins, all members of the Blenny family of fishes, can often be found out hunting among the polyps on hard corals at night, but only if you look very closely! Equipment: Minolta 7000 camera in an Ikelite housing with a Tamron 90mm telemacro lens with a +4 diopter on a Tamron 2x teleconverter, dual Ikelite SS200's, and Fuji Velvia film. |
