A Midnight Parrotfish, Scarus coelestinus, sleeps under a coral ledge at night at the divesite known as Moray Alley in the waters near Bimini in the Bahamas. These very large Parrotfish attain lengths up to about three feet and are very difficult to get close to when they are awake during the day, but at night when they are sleeping it is a not difficult to get close enough for a portrait.

Equipment: Minolta 800si in an Ikelite housing with a Sigma 50mm macro lens and dual Ikelite SS200's on Velvia film.
